Wishing a happy Mother’s to all the moms! Today is a perfect day to soak up some well-deserved love and attention. 

As we celebrate moms, let’s also acknowledge the women who nurture, advocate, and believe in us – our grandmothers, sisters, daughters, and friends who naturally embody unconditional love.

This unconditional love reflects the profound energy of the divine feminine.

The “divine feminine” refers to a sacred, nurturing energy associated with feminine qualities in all of us, such as intuition, compassion, empathy, and creativity.

This powerful, loving energy force can be accessed by anyone, regardless of gender, helping individuals connect with their emotions, inner strength, and wisdom.

I recently experienced the power of the divine feminine firsthand while traveling to Italy with my daughter Hilary. When we found ourselves in a challenging situation, it was the kindness and compassion of a female stranger that came to our rescue.

As Hilary and I barely made our train to Lecce, exhausted and excited, we found ourselves lost and confused. When we asked a metro worker for directions, he yelled at us as if we were complete idiots for not reading the monitor above our heads. With just a few minutes to spare, we hoisted our heavy suitcases onto the train, only to be met with no room for our luggage and no clue as to where to put our bags.

Thankfully, an angel in the form of a transit worker appeared out of nowhere. She gestured for us to follow her as she expertly maneuvered our bags around others to make them fit. 

Later as we sat, contemplating about the warm and generous nature of the women we had encountered on our trip, it became clear that most of the men we had asked for help, specifically in Rome, were surprisingly rude.

Whether it was a disregard for women, a distaste for our American identity, or a result of the old-world hierarchy, the contrast in behavior towards us was sharp enough to make us feel incredibly grateful for the divine energy of women and the natural compassion and nature of the female spirit.

This experience serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of embracing and celebrating the divine feminine energy within us all.

As we honor our mothers and the nurturing figures in our lives this Mother’s Day, let’s recognize and appreciate the earth angels who cross our paths, offering kindness and support when we need it most.

May we all strive to embody this loving energy to create a world filled with more understanding, kindness, and respect for each other.
